Our October Weddings

Congratulations to one of my closest college friends, Wenny and Tony for a beautiful and fun wedding last October 9.  We truly had a blast! Best wishes to you guys and hope we could visit you in New York soon!  =)

Congratulations and best wishes too to one of Kit's MBA barkada Rhyan and Lhen!  It was such a fun yet sweet and touching wedding! See you next month! =)

Stay in love guys!  Keep the fire of love burning! =)

34 Days To Go...

Wow! It's getting nearer and nearer already... "Nervousness", please go away...

Kit and I were relatively relaxed a few weeks back.  We had two friends who got married this October and we said that, we'll hit the panic button after both of their weddings.  Last night was our second October wedding, and last wedding we attended as single individuals.  The next wedding we'll attend will be our own! And oh yes, the thought has sunk in! Don't get me wrong, we are very excited but we can't help but feel nervous and tensed too.  Come to think of it, who wouldn't get nervous thinking about their nearing wedding day?  Add to the fact that we still have things to do for our BIG DAY...

INVITATION-RELATED:
1.  We have yet to get our invitations from Print Divas.... They said that we can get it on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 5pm... Hopefully, the invitations will turn out beautiful and of course, accurate.  (keeping our fingers crossed)
2.  We have yet to print the map we ask Neil (Kit's officemate) to do for us.  We just have minor revisions and its good to go. Thanks so much Neil! =)
3.  Of course, we still have to distribute them! (time is definitely not on our side... panic mode!)

CHURCH-RELATED:
1.  Our canonical interview is scheduled on Nov. 21, 2pm.  Ms. Cathy said that it would last for at least an hour.   Hmm... What type of questions does the priest normally ask?
2.  We have to buy fruits, unconsecrated Host and wine for the offertory.
3.  We have also yet to print our misalette which was our only DIY project.  Talk about lack of creativity.  Haha. But the good news is we have finally figured out how to print it!  Madali lang pala.  Hahaha.  You just have to set your page setting to 'bookfold' and click 'manual duplex' on the printer option, and viola!, its done.  =)
4.  We have to ready our unity candle and taper candles.

RECEPTION-RELATED:
1.  We have to finalize our guestlist and table seating arrangement.
2.  We have to finalize our song list for the cocktails and the dance/party after.
3.  We have to finalize our first dance song and of course, practice our moves!  (But first, i have to finally convince Kit to dance.  Haha.)
4.  We have to finalize the program our emcee, Missy sent us.
5.  We have to purchase alcoholic beverages for the guests who would want to drink.

OTHERS:
1.  Second fitting for the entourage is scheduled on Nov. 13.  Hopefully, it would also be the final fitting.
2.  My third fitting is scheduled 2 weeks before the wedding.  Wishing that my gown will fit me to a 'T'.  I lost a lot of weight during the second fitting so it was a bit big for me...
3. We have to purchase the PS and entourage gift by next week.

So you see, we still have a lot to do but thankfully, we already know how to do it, what to buy and where to buy it.  =)

First Fitting of our Entourage

I was looking forward to the first fitting of our entourage. I actually didn't know what to expect.  But here are the pictures.
our 2 FGs Yana and Eira! =)

Bridesmaid Tere and me! The gown i'm wearing
is for  one of my bridesmaids, Leika.

Candle sponsor Shuyen

Cord sponsor Lilette

How the secondary sponsors' gowns
look like with the sash/belt
Overall, I was kinda pleased with the outcome.  I soo love the flower girl dresses.  It was so cute! I also like the bridesmaid dresses.  Since Leika and Dam, couldn't make it (they have the same design by the way), i tried on Leika's dress just to see how it looks like.  Buti kasya.  Haha.  I liked it also.  For the secondary sponsors, we had a problem on the skirt as it looked like a "balloon" skirt because of the pleats.  But Tita Dolor told us that it wouldn't look like that when it's pressed.  She also adjusted the length of the skirt so it would fall right on the knee.  My highschool friends Lilette and Shuyen also asked her to adjust (lower) the back para daw 'sexy back'! Hahaha.

Second fitting is slated on Nov. 6.  Can't wait! =)

1st Fitting of my Mom and MOH + barong of my Dad

My Dad's barong was delivered to us way back in early September.  He had his fitting, alongside Kit and Kit's dad last August, and after a couple of weeks, Mang Rey Casedo delivered it to us.  What can I say, Mang Rey surely does barongs fast!

My Dad's piƱa barong
My dad isn't really a fan of embroidery... the simpler, the better.

Last week, my sister, who's my maid of honor, and my mom, had their first fitting with Joe San Antonio.  I loved my sister's gown!!! I so liked it that I couldn't stop gushing about it.  Kit had to ask if I love it more than my wedding gown. Hahaha. Take a look.

It's nice, right? =) I like the design, how it combined the two colors.

I particulary like the waist-thigh part, with the layers...

the back...
My mom's gown was nice too.  It fit her perfectly. No adjustments whatsoever.  Let's just hope that she can maintain the same weight until my wedding day.   ~~pressure Ma~~  :-p

My mom loved her gown as well.  Obvious nman, di ba? Hahaha.
Love the pleats in her skirt!

the sexy back!
My family's all set for the wedding.  Aside from the few adjustments and the beadings for my mom and sister's gowns, they're good to go! As for me... hmmm... I won't share pictures here for sure (because I want it to be a surprise!).  But I had my 2nd fitting already and as I told Joe, I super like my gown! The only problem is that I kept on losing weight! They had to adjust the gown every time I fit.  I don't know if its a good thing or a bad thing.  But I don't want to be so thin on my wedding day! Stress really is a sure way to be thin. Bad!

As for Kit and his family... Kit and his Dad already have their barong and pants delivered by Mang Rey.  His mom is scheduled to have her first fitting with Joe next week.  =)

As for the entourage, their first fitting with Tita Dolor is scheduled on Sunday! I can't wait to see their gowns! Hope it looks as lovely as the pictures! =)

As the Big Day Approaches...

27 November 2010 is fast approaching... And yes, i'll admit I'm a big ball of emotions right now!  I'm tensed yet I'm excited... I'm scared yet I'm eager...  I'm stressed yet I'm ready... I'm emotional but I am truly happy.

Let these borrowed pictures (from various tumblr sites) speak of what's going on in my head (and heart) right now.

No matter what state I'm in, it feels good to know that
Kit will always be there to hold me and never let me go.

... and I am not complaining! I'm actually looking forward to
more memories, more inside jokes and more craziness with Kit.
The stupid fights? Not so! ;-p

I don't know if Kit remembers this, but I told him during the early years
of our relationship that I don't like him using shortcuts for "love".
It just doesn't feel right.  And yes, he always uses 'LOVE'!

Hugging and holding hands are two of my favorite things!
Happy to know I've got Kit to hug and hold hands with
anytime I want. :-)

No matter what we do, I'm just truly happy
that I have Kit with me now.

Love in the eyes of the Disney Princesses

I have always been in love with Disney.  From Mickey Mouse to Disney-Pixar to, of course, the Disney Princesses.  (And my favorite by the way, has always been Belle of Beauty and the Beast!) Browsing through the Disney Princesses Tumblr, couldn't help myself but borrow some of the pictures and post them here.  Very relevant too as our BIG DAY approaches.  Hope you'll like these as much as I do.   ♥

You'll never know who, when, where and how.
But it will happen.

Don't we all wish that our love stories
have this exact same ending? :-)

And I couldn't agree more!

You + Me, and they've got nothing on us.

57 Days To Go

Looking at my past posts, i realized i have blogged a lot about things not related to our wedding preps.  So what does it say about me and our wedding preps?  That I/we're slacking?  Of course not!  That we're done with our preps?  Still a long way to go.  Then, how come the limited number of posts about the preps?  I don't know, but for some reason, i find it harder to write about it than any other topics.  There's something about written things-to-do...  It seems to add more pressure to the already stressful (but sometimes enjoyable) wedding preparation.  Oh well... I have to write it down to serve as constant reminder that we still have things to accomplish.  Here it goes...

CHURCH-RELATED:
1.  Get our wedding banns from our respective churches
2.  Get our marriage license from Paranaque City Hall
3.  Ask for a schedule for our canonical interview
4.  Design our misalette and have it printed as well
5.  Give song list to Anima Choir
6.  Buy fruits, unconsecrated Host and wine for the offertory
7.  Design unity candle

RECEPTION-RELATED:
1.  Discuss and finalize program with our emcee, Missy Litao
2.  Finalize song list to be played live by Anima Choir
3.  Finalize song list for Rejectkrew
4.  Finalize guest list and seating arrangement
5.  Decide whether to get a mobile bar or not
6.  Practice for the first dance (decide on what kind of dance to do, if traditional or choreographed)

OTHERS:
1.  Finalize and distribute invitations
2.  Schedule 2nd fitting of bridal gown
3.  Schedule 1st fitting of entourage gowns plus the 2 moms
4.  Buy gifts for the PS and entourage

So far, that's what I can remember.  Hope I didn't forget anything...

OT: Fun Fun Thursday Night

I had a great night last night... Great night at watching t.v. that is.  :-)

Gossip Girl was at 8pm.  Just recently (last week's episode (Season 4, episode 2) to be exact) I've become a fan of the Blair and Chuck team-up.  Their scene together last episode was just so good.  I didn't imagine myself rooting for them to get back together.  Hahaha.  I started out loving Serena more, but Blair kinda grew on me.  Now, I love them both equally. :-)

Then, Amazing Race Asia was at 9pm.  I'm a big fan of reality tv shows, especially Amazing Race Asia because you get to root for the Philippine teams.  I don't know yet who I like better between the Richies (Richard and Richard) and the Party Girls (Jess and Lani), but I sure am glad both of them are still in the race.  Hope they last long and eventually, one of them come out as the winner!

The replay of the UAAP Game 2 finals was at 10pm.  Though I've watched the 4pm game already, I was eagerly awaiting the replay for this game.  Why? Because we won!!! The Ateneo Blue Eagles was crowned the champions once again! 3-peat!!! Back-to-Back-to-Back Champs!  Congratulations Ateneo Blue Eagles!  Looking forward to Season 74! :-)
